After many years of talking about it, today I have at last done it -
put elder flowers and lemon in a bucket with water and sugar;
give it a stir;
cover and wait.
In case you haven't guessed yet, I am attempting to make elderflower champagne. It should be ready in a couple of weeks, why not have a look at the recipe below and have a go!

ReplyDeleteIf you do try this its a good idea to remove most of the stalk. it is now day 4 and not much happening so added a pinch of yeast 2 days ago, as stated in recipe. all going well will bottle on friday into glass and plastic bottles. Any advice greatly recieved!

Happy to report that this was very bubbly and delicious!! Still a few elder flowers about out there, go very well with gooseberries too.
